Charterhall Estate - Preparation of Forest Plan
Under the Scottish Rural Development Programme, approval has been received to produce a Forest Plan for Charterhall. The aim of the plan is to outline the proposals for felling, replanting and regeneration over the next 20 years.
The plan preparation includes the process of scoping by which consultation is carried out with organisations and individuals who may have an interest in the estate’s woodlands. This provides the opportunity for people to comment and contribute to the proposals which will guide the future management of the forest at Charterhall.
